I'm working on a cut-to-length application. I'm wanting to use a DL05 RS232 modbus to write parameters in the Sureservo amp for the internal indexer presets(positioning mode). I will be using C-more micro to enter the desired length, RPM, and total pieces to cut. I'm trying to follow the example in the Sureservo manual, but so far most of it is over my head. I already got this up and running using the 8 preset positions and discrete IO to trigger each preset, but I need more than 8 positions. As I understand, I can overwrite a single preset with modbus to be able to cut any length, anytime.
