Hi i have a dl-205 plc, dl-260 cpu with a H2-ECOM10 comm card i need to communicate with it via another plc with modbus tcp. (dl260 will be the slave) is there something to configure on plc or ethernet card? i have done this often with click plcs but didnt do it yet with dl260 and ethernet comm. Also i forgot to say that this dl-260 is also a modbus master tahts communicate with others devices. can it be a master and a slave ?

i also have a computer with kepware with koyo drivers connected on this plc, is there any modbus slave software that could link to kepware so i can access it via the other plc.

I don't think that there is any firmware update which will allow the ECOM to have Modbus TCP like the ECOM100.

The old ECOM module does not have many of the advanced features like in the ECOM100: Sending EMAIL, Modbus/TCP, PEERLINK, et. al. It's a completely different (limited) processor and memory (old ECOM module utilizes the old 80186). Hence, there are no feature set advances available via firmware upgrades for these old ECOM (non-100) modules.
You will need to purchase an ECOM100 module of you want to do Modbus/TCP.
The 260 Serial Port 2 CAN do Modbus/RTU, but you would need to have it available for connection to your Kepware PC, which would also need to utilize Modbus/RTU over serial, not Ethernet, on your PC.
