I was reviewing the High Speed Input/Output modes in the DL06 manual. Instead of using SP2 (which is Always Off) for arguments in the Up/Down Counter code, the example shows NOT SP1 (SP1 is Always ON). Is there a reason to use Not SP1 instead of SP2? Are these equivalent?

Someone else should chime in, but I can't see that not SP1 would be any different than SP2. I'd be curious to know if there is a difference and if so, why.

just a guess, but since hitting the space bar automatically adds a NO contact, maybe the SP2 is ADs equivalent to RS5 AFI?

There is no difference between a NC SP1 and a NO SP2. It just depends on how you want the logic to look.
