I have a problem connecting a Remote Master unit (D4-RM) to a Remote Slave (D4-RS). My setup is as follows I have base unit D4-08B-1 with A DL450 CPU then a D4-ECOM Card In The first Slot after the CPU then four D4-16NA input Cards then An Output Card D4-12TR and the another D4-16NA and finally on the Local Base a Remote Master (D4-RM).After the local base I have three Expansion bases with an assortment of Input and output cards that fill up the following expansion bases. Then I have the Remote Slave Base On the remote I/O Base. http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/smile.gif Software loaded into PLC to Allocate The Remote Inputs X560 - X577 which is the only card on my Remote Slave Base. Have Managed To Solve My Problem. You have to do the input and out put allocations for the whole Slave Base and in my case where there are no outputs on the slave base you load K0 to registers V7407,which is the number of output on the slave base.

This rung should be as follows if you are only using one RM & one RS unit. This tells the CPU that you have only one Slave module connected to the Remote Master.

    ----! !-----------------LD

    K34

    LDA

    O7410

    FILL

    K0

It works like a dream by the way.Isn't is amazing if you read the manual properly how easy things are. http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/redface.gif http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/cool.gif http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/biggrin.gif
