When displaying small magnitude real numbers using the Numeric Display object, the panel will display the value in scientific notation (23 E-3, etc.) rather than rounding to -1, 0 or +1 as appropriate. The minimum value that is properly rounded is related to the number of decimal places selected in the numeric display object. Is there a way to achieve the desired results? I 've developed some clumsy code in the PLC to superimpose a text "0 " over the numeric display object but it seems there should be a better way.

You can disable Exponent Notation in the Panel Manager. You can find it in the General section in the same place that you set the Panel Type.
