Is there a way to assign a 250 PLC address to a discrete TAG. I'm trying to assign address b5000.1 to be set when a button is pressed but I keep getting an invalid data type. I 've tried V5000.1 . Can a discrete bit of a word be entered and if so how?

Just a guess, but maybe you can move V5000 to an unused V-memory location that references individual control relays?
See the "Control Relay Bit Map " page (page 3-49 in my manual).
For example:
LD V5000
OUT V40620
Then use C400 thru C417 in the EZ-Touch as the discrete bit in the word.

From what I 've seen of their K-sequence driver, enter:
V(octal address)/(bit octal offset)
In English, that would be as follows:
DirectSoft EZTouch
B2000.0 V2000/0
B2000.1 V2000/1
B2000.2 V2000/2
...
B2000.7 V2000/7
B2000.8 V2000/10 *** OCTAL BITS!!
B2000.9 V2000/11
B2000.10 V2000/12
B2000.11 V2000/13
B2000.12 V2000/14
B2000.13 V2000/15
B2000.14 V2000/16
B2000.15 V2000/17

Thanks franji. That format works. I was going to rewrite the code to use internal control relays after failing to "guess " at the format needed to enter those values in.
Thanks a heap!
