C-more Ver9.01 Simulation doesn't show the tag list anymore

I used to find the C-more Simulation feature very useful. Unfortunately, with 9.01 Simulation has become useless for me. I no longer see the tag list and am not able to re-size the simulator window to fit my screen. When I try to select the tag list window by hovering my mouse over the icon in the task bar, the preview for the tag list window shows up, but it is an empty window. If I select it, it doesn't show up on my screen. If I try to select it with ALT-TAB, it doesn't show up on my screen either.

 

Is anyone else having this problem as well?

 

What can I do to fix this?

    You said the pressing the Windows+left arrow keys didn't do anything. Try snapping to the left side by click and holding the top of the Simulator window and dragging it over to the left edge of the screen.

    Here's a screen grab of when I hover my mouse over the task bar:

     

    imageThe RHS is the HMI screen in the simulator and the LHS should be the tag list so that I can change tag values. No such luck as it's blank and I can't select it. When I try clicking on it with the mouse - nothing happens.

    From your description, My guess is the tag list window has been moved off the viewing area of your monitor.

    What happens if your open the simulator and click the (Windows key + left arrow key) on your keyboard to snap the sim window to the left side of the screen?

    This should show other open windows to the right. Click on the empty tag list window to open it to right of Sim window. If that works, just drag the tag list window down to where you like and it should open in that location next time Sim is started.

    I tried that, but it didn't work for me.

     

    When I click on the empty tag list window, it just brings up the simulation window. Windows Key + left arrow key has no effecct. ALT-Tab lets me select the empty tag list window, but again, all that happens is the simulation window appears on my screen.

     

    I do have a multi-monitor set up (17" laptop + 2 large monitors). I also tried disconnecting my 2 large monitors and still have the same problem when it's just the one screen.

     

    I would love to have this problem solved as I used to find the simulation very useful.

    The screenshot you shared looks like Windows 10. Are you able to open the simulator, then Right click in the bottom Windows taskbar and select Cascade windows? Does that bring anything up?

      Yes, I am running Windows 10.

      I have tried running the simulator, then right-clicking on the Windows task bar and selecting:

      • Cascade Windows
      • Show All Windows Stacked
      • Show Windows Side-by-Side

      and none of them bring up the tags window. I am able to operate the simulated HMI program by clicking on its objects and that works, but I have no access to the tags like I used to have when I was able to access the tags window.

    The preview of simulator isn't right. It looks like it is failing to load. I assume you've closed and reopened it?

    What version of Windows are you on?

      I have closed and re-opened the simulator, as well as the C-more HMI (ver9.01) program many times. All with the same result.

    That last one worked! Thank you!

    When I dragged the simulator over to the left side of my screen and snapped it in place there, then selected what looked like an empty tag list screen, then clicked on that empty tag list screen... the tag list windows appeared!!!

     

    I'll remember that trick for the future.
