Unable to import a trend

Doing manual bumps in PID Overview. I turn on Record. Then Stop the recording. Domore asks if I want to save the files and I say Yes. Now I open a new blank project for Domore. Select File/ Import / Trend Archive into New Project. Domore closes current project, Opens new project. But the Trend file does not display. Running Do-more Designer 2.11.2

Close Designer. Start with a fresh Designer - no "new project". Do File->Import->Trend (so no project has to be "closed").

If a project does not open, open the Output window or move the app window to see if there is a message box hidden.

If a project DOES open, but nothing shows up, try to open the Output Window or try tomove the app window to see if an error dialog is hiding BEHIND the app.

Followed these steps. No message box, nothing in Output Window. No Trend showing. Tried this on several different trend files.

I am seeing issues with a sample trend archive of a PID view, but my output window is reporting errors. But yours is not reporting any errors.

Not sure of a work-around if your issue is the same as mine.

Mine is due to doc descriptions having CR/LF. Not sure if this has always been there or if this is new. Regardless, my Trend Archive file is corrupt and cannot be imported :-\

imageNot sure if you can ZIP up your trend archive file and post it online where I can get a copy?

PID_0.trarc is one I did today

The other two are Trends that I have used for Student Testing in the past.

All 3 imported using my Debug build that flags and reports various details of what is going on. However, nothing strange was flagged. Not sure what is going on.

One archive data set is from yesterday. One from December 2025. One from 2021. I am guessing that these were generated with at least 2 different major versions of Designer (could be 3).

I was able to import all 3 using Designer Production versions 2.11.2, 2.10.4, 2.9.4, and 2.5.2 (released in 2019)

      Try this...

Using 2.11.2, import the one archive from yesterday.

Using the Window->Arrange Windows... menu, bring up the Arrange Windows dialog.

The window list in my imported trend archive project shows up with just the one view, the trend archive view:

imageDoes anything show up in your list? If so, let me know or not if it is the PID_0 Archive Trend view (like above)?

If it is there, select that window in the list, then hit the Activate button and let me know what happens.

Tried the one from yesterday, didn't get anything. Created a new one today didn't get anything. I will try reinstalling Domore.

Removed Domore 2.11.2 and reinstalled. Same Results. Nothing displays.

Not sure what is wrong. I can tell it is opening a project due to the state of the toolbar buttons, but there is nothing there. 😕

I am hoping it's an install issue. I know you already uninstalled/reinstalled a few times, but...

      1. Uninstall Designer
      2. This time, when attempting to install, right click on the Setup.exe and select "Run As Administrator". This is different than just running setup.exe logged in as an administrator. So try that and let us know
      3. Reboot your PC after installing

I uninstalled Designer and reinstalled as Administrator. Same results. However, if I run Designer as an Administrator it works. I can live with that.
