Drop Down List
One very handy feature I wish existed was the ability to do a drop down selection list.
Same as you do with Excel, where you specify a list of tags you would pick from and then present that list as a Drop Down Selection.
I could see that being a very useful and handy feature that should be considered for development and implantation in this or future production releases..
It can be done, but admittedly, it's pretty clunky. A combination of recipe buttons and pop-up frames will simulate a drop-down list. By using recipe buttons, you can allow each option to write whatever values you want to the PLC, or even kickoff event manager.

Thanks, as you say it is clunky, akin to a oval peg in a round hole. But workable I guess.
Hence why I thought a more refined hard coded operation would be easier if it was available through a programmed function.
We've heard this request before - we'll keep it on the list and see what we can come up with. For now, V9 is pretty close to done. We are mainly looking for bugs or major issues before a formal release. An enhancement like this will have to wait.
