PAL Fault Reporting

I am using a PAL air valve system on a conveyor setup. I am using the 25 pin d-sub connected version.

I have the correct pinout but I cannot find anything that describes what pin 22 "fault reporting" does?

Does it energize when a valve malfunctions or what is its actual behavior? I would like to hook it up to my PLC for alarms but I need to know how it functions.

The fault reporting pin (22) will output if a fault is present. Reference page 7-7 in the manual to help indicate what the fault is. Once a fault has occurred, most will require a power cycle in order to reset.

Pin 23 connection will determine if the output signal is NPN or PNP.

*Edit- To further clarify, if a fault is present, the fault reporting signal will be on solid while the valve base LEDs will flash the diagnostic code.

Thank You! I must've have missed that page whilst scanning through the manual.
