I'm getting this error message and looking through error codes of the help, I'm not finding what this means. The tag will be pointed to the serial port, but should that matter?
P1-540 CPU to an EA3-T4CL.
Psuite V4.5.0.34
C-more micro V4.51.1
Windows 11 64-bit desktop.
I just decided to close the C-more micro programming software, re-open it and create a new tag, and it accepted it. Would still like to know why the software was rejecting it.
How long had the software been open?
I find that all versions/families of C-More software act weirdly after being open for an extended time.
This may be a windows housekeeping/garbagecollecting issue, but surely there are/were methods for telling windows that C-More has allocated resources that are still used/needed.
I have found PAC to do it, too -- but not like C-More.
I was attempting to duplicate your issue in an earlier version, and had just installed 4.51.

How long were both opened? Hours!
I'm coding a new project, sales has been pushing for over a year and 1/2, and now they got to have it immediately! If only coding was that easy. I'm 2 1/2 years from retirement, so I assume by then A-D will have an AI equivalent to the software where sales can just talk to their smartphone and, boom! Product!
Yeah, as far as system ID's go, I always write them in full. Those shown were typed out by me. 😉
