Second Ethernet port on P2-622
Is any information available on using Modbus TCP over the second Ethernet port on a P2-622? I would like to talk to devices on completely separate subnets. In the specifications it says about the second port "Can be user defined and used as a secondary multipurpose Ethernet port with the exception that this port does not have Default Gateway or DNS capability."
You are correct the 2nd ethernet port can be assigned as 'user defined' allowing it to be used with Modbus TCP. Take a look at help topic P400 at the link below for more details.
