GS21 Setup
I am having some difficulties configuring my drive. I need to run when powered up. I have an estop tied into the STO circuit. When the e-stop is reset, I need the drive to automatically reset and go back into a run.
So far, I have it running when powered up. It stops when the e-stop is hit. It resets then the e-stop is reset. But, it does not go back into run when the e-stop is reset.
Here is how I have it configured.
6.44 - 1
02.35 - 1
00.32 -1
00.21 - 1
DCM jumped to DI1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Mike
You'll need to cycle the run command after sending a reset command. No way to auto-restart according to the docs.

First off, realize that equipment shouldn't automatically restart after releasing an e-stop;
Emergency Stop Device Reset: Each e-stop device, i.e. button, pull cord, foot switch, etc., is required to latch in the activated state and must be individually reset. Resetting the e-stop device is NOT permitted to re-start the machinery, only to permit restarting. (NFPA 79, CSA Z432, ISO 14118).

That said, if you're not using the R1 relay output, wire your run signal through the relay contacts, and set P02.13 (R1 function) to 9 (Drive is Ready). When the STO resets, the relay will close with enough delay to satisfy the off-to-on requirement. There is also enough delay that you don't even need to set P02.35 to 1.
