Please Read Before Proceeding

The P2CDS-622 controller is designed to be programmed with the CODESYS IDE (Integrated Development Environment). The CODESYS IDE was not developed by AutomationDirect, but is free to download from the CODESYS website. While a few Productivity2000 I/O hardware-specific examples and other basic example code are provided, we do not provide custom application-specific programming support. Please utilize our Community forum or other CODESYS community forums for application-specific assistance with programming.

Below is a link to the support site which contains information you will need to get started using the ProductivityCODESYS P2CDS-622 CPU. The support site also offers example projects and walk-throughs of basic project creation.

To get started, follow the steps in the Preparation topic of the support site (https://docs.codesys-p2cds622.com/en/latest/Getting%20Started/preparation.html). The steps and download links are also included below, but for more details and the most up-to-date information, please go to the support site.

1). Install the CODESYS IDE (download the software at https://us.store.codesys.com/codesys.html).

2). Install the latest P2CDS-622 Firmware Image file (firmware update tool download link: https://docs.codesys-p2cds622.com/en/latest/_downloads/f4a859c10fab6363a25600ac8b2c8f38/FW_UpdateUtility.zip).

3). Install the P2CDS-622 Device Package (.package) file (Device Package file download link: https://docs.codesys-p2cds622.com/en/latest/Getting%20Started/preparation.html#p2cds-622-package-install).

4). Configure the Ethernet ports on the P2CDS-622.

5). Install the IIoT Library file (optional) (download at https://us.store.codesys.com/codesys-iiot-libraries-sl.html). This is a FREE library but is not part of the default CODESYS IDE installation. The IIoT license key is preinstalled with the P2CDS-622.
