The literature says it is all isolated but the drawings don't show that I can send positive 24vdc to the output with a return signal on the 4-20 amp side of things.

Yes I see that. The question is can I run 24vdc+ to the I- terminal and take the I+ terminal back to my PLC input like you would with a passive 2 wire sensor? The only reason I would like to do this is how the field wiring on site is set up as well as the FC-33 is in one piece of equipment and the PLC analog input is powered separately. And the PLC analog card common is tied to 24vdc-.
The output loop on the FC-33 is powered from the signal conditioner. There is no need to connect 24vdc to the output terminals. The example from the tech pages may be of some help.
