ProgrammerMN (Customer) asked a question.

Modbus Gateway (stride SGW-MB1511-T) cannot connect for initial setup.

When i tried to default IP (192.168.0.249) in my web browser it comes back as device refused to connect. I can ping the IP using command prompt, and it shows up in a IP scanner. One thing I noticed with the scanner is that the device does not have a web portal assigned to it.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution to get it to connect?

    Update...

I ordered a new one, the new one works as described in all the documentation. The old one was a dud from the begining

What is the IP address of your PC? For the initial setup, the PC used to connect to the STRIDE Modbus Gateway must have an IP address that allows it to connect to the device’s default IP address 192.168.0.249.

It shows not connected because I don't have it plugged in at this moment

Yes multiple times... I'm starting to think I have a paper weight.

I would recommend you reach out to our technical support team at 1-800-633-0405. Then if needed they can get you over to RA to begin the returns process.

Is the "Run" light blinking? Thi is an indicatin of if the unit booted up correctly.

You can ping the device, but have you turned off the firewall on your pc?

Are you just typing in the address? Try typing in "192.168.0.249/index_v3.5.html"
