wake & sleep GS20

I have a GS20 on a well pump. I notice that it does not cycle via the wake/sleep settings and at the moment runs almost continuously at the pressure set point. I thought it had been working prior to installing an ethernet card. I may be wrong.

8.06 =46.68 (28 hz)

8.10=42.

8.11=32

Suggestions?

    I found several of my brain fault issues.

    I had 8.10 & .11 entered as my desired PSIs, not hz,

    The pump motor needs to run at a min of 30 hz & I had min set at 30.10 which was above the 28hz.

    Clear?

    I changed:

    8.66=32.2 hz (53.67 psi) Set point

    8.10=31.9 (53.17) Sleep

    8,11=30,02 (50.03) Wake

    It is cycling so I believe I have it correct now. The pressure range is a lot closer than I had anticipated.

    Thank you.

    Add: there is no water flow when its idling. I can stop the VFD and the pressure does not drop.

    What part number of GS20 are you using? What is the status of the MS led on the ethernet card? Red or Green?

    You probably need to increase the sleep frequency above the level at which the pump can move water and build pressure. If you are not increasing the pressure and creating flow at 46 Hz, and your sleep frequency (P08.10) is 42 Hz, then the drive will sit there happily running and holding pressure until the water boils in the pump housing.

    I have set up many VFDs for pressure control PID with other models of drive and usually the wake setting is related to the feedback signal units (psi or gpm, for example). With the GS20, the wake signal appears to be based on the calculated command frequency, so I am not sure what to recommend there except some trials. You may need to raise it to a higher level than the sleep frequency at least long enough to prove that the sleep frequency value actually does trigger sleep mode and isn't being overruled by the wake value.
