Productivity 4.0.0.208 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of Productivity Suite 4.0, featuring support for the new Productivity2000 P2-622 CPU, Toggle Boolean, and other features and improvements.

The P2-622 is our next generation CPU with dual software-configurable serial ports (RJ12 and 4-pin) that support both RS232 and RS485, a USB C programming port, and a new system architecture which allows for many future enhancements.

 

The Toggle Boolean feature allows for a keyboard shortcut ('Ctrl+T') or right-click context menu toggling of a Boolean tag in Ladder Editor.

 

Other changes include usability improvements such as a Project Transfer progress bar that updates more frequently during long project transfers, and auto-resize of the multi-rung comment editor fields to better fit content.

 

A large number of bug fixes also improve the overall user experience.

    Version 4 doesn't seem to be on the download page (3.12 instead). Has 4 been withdrawn?

    A bug was found in version 4.0.0.208 yesterday that warranted a patch. The bug is caused by having digital output cards in any base attached to a P2-622 (local, P2-RS, or P1-RX), where the sum of the digital output channels adds up to a number evenly divisible by 32 (15-point cards count as 16-point in this case). If this condition is present in a base, any analog output commands will be offset by one channel, e.g. analog channel 1’s output will be present on channel 2, 2 on 3, etc. 

     

    We released a patch for this issue this morning (version 4.0.1.7) that corrects this issue. All P2-622 users should update to this version. The update will require a stop-mode transfer.

      I would recommend renaming this thread to the latest version, 4.0.1.7, because I went to the downloads page looking for the release in the title and was confused.
