When I have any recipes stored in the C-More, If I have to change a button or something and update the screen, All my Recipe Data is gone.
I have found no configuration in the C-More software that can protect these Recipes.
I know about backing up the Recipes / Firmware Etc. to the USB or SD cards but that requires me to have someone in front of the OIT to push the 2 corners of the screen to do that.
I can't do it if I'm supporting a customer remotely via TeamViewer or via the C-More Web interface.
There is no way to automatically backup and restore these recipes that I have found from inside the application which is kind of pointless. I may be able to read the program from the C-more and it would contain them but I would have to update each customer, independently, instead of making one update that can be rolled out to all machines, as we do.
Am I wrong or missing something?
In v6.xx for EA9, you could use FTP to copy the Recipe files before transferring the project, and then write them back after the transfer.
Just FYI, in the new v8.00 for CM5, the Data Maintenance Tool can be used to copy the Recipe Files and write them again fairly easily.
