DuramaxTravis (Customer) asked a question.
We have a machine that will require an HMI capable of running a windows based acoustical measurement program (CLIO). Along with the need to run this acoustical measurement software, we need to be able to have the functionality to communicate with a Click PLC.
I have looked into HMIs such as Maple Systems, which support Windows programs, but would rather not purchase a programming software.
Considering the headless HMI, would there be any ability to run the headless HMI display in a split-screen configuration with the acoustical software occupying the other half of the screen? Can these headless HMIs be used on a touch screen device, or need to be operated using a mouse/keyboard? Thanks in advance!
I cannot speak to the split-screen aspect, but the touchscreen question is a yes.

You can connect them to any screen. Using a USB splitter you can use a mouse and touch at the same time if desired.
Split screen may be a challenge as you'd need to be able to display/interact with two different inputs simultaneously. You could use the remote HMI feature, but it's not ideal. Two screens would be easiest.
I searched 'hdmi split screen' on Amazon, and this was the first of several hits. https://www.amazon.com/Multi-viewer-Seamless-Switcher-Security-Consoles/dp/B094NBTBHQ
Looks like it can combine up to 4 HDMI inputs into a split screen single output.
