Having issue when setting Productivity 1000 IP address.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Productivity PLC. I'm trying to set the IP as shown in the attachment, but as soon as I click ok, the error window pops up. I use 10.20 IP's and the same gateway almost all the equipment in the plant, never have this issue before. Could someone suggest what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

Entering an IP Address reserved for specific functions will cause an error dialogue box to be displayed upon project compile. The CPU's IP Address must be between 1.0.0.1 and 223.255.255.254 (Excluding 10.20.x.x, which is used for the Remote I/O network). This applies to all Productivity CPUs with dual Ethernet ports. Productivity CPUs with a single Ethernet port, like the P1-540 and P3-530, do not have this restriction. This is discussed in Help Topics P192, P250, P270, P282, and P299.

It's warning you the subnet mask cannot be 255.255.254.0.

I'm able to set the IP to 10.30 with the same subnet mask.

Hi Gary, I'm sure that IP is not beeing used. And the cable is directly plugged into the PLC from my PC, which is not connected to the network.
