WiFi will use an antenna on the PLC to communicate through the air to a wireless router. The router will then direct the traffic to the destination. The maximum distance will depend on the mounting and obstacles between the controllers. Typically, this is about 45 meters or about 150 feet.
Note: Wifi signal boosters can be used for increased distance.

High Gain directional antennas pointing at each other MIGHT get the job done!
Another solution is to use Wireless Ethernet Bridge radios. A common one is from Ubiquiti.
If you use a bridge setup you may not need the Plus that has wireless, saving money!
They use power over ethernet (POE) and they are likely +24 volts. You might be able to use that power to power the Click.

It looks like KuWFi has a range of products for wireless bridges. 2.4 and 5.8 GHz with a variety of distances up to 5KM.

To directly answer your question, no. Two Clicks cannot communicate over their own built in Wi-Fi, they are just clients. Even if they could, 800' is a stretch.
Get the Ethernet only Click versions, take the savings and buy a TP Link bridge. Nanostations are better, but unobtanium lately. I've been using a lot of the TP Link's with no complaints.
