    I know that I can override the background color in ff about:preferences but that overrides all pages.

    I am doing that now, but I would prefer a site theme not a forced every page override.

    There is no dark theme option available that can be added to the community. You can do a Google search and find there are several 3rd party extensions that can be added to the browser that will allow this functionality.

     I think the forum administrator needs to install a dark mode theme before the theme switcher appears.Try some browser plugin for dark theming any page (or whitelisted ones), that will also solve the problem on other pages such as eg, news portals etc. If you spacebar counter are are reading an EEVblog page and want to toggle between the normal and the dark theme, just click once on {S} icon and from there ...
