CLICK - Stepper Drive - Best route
I've used a Click, CMore HMI and 3 Sure Servos with great success.
I want to do similar with a CLICK and stepper drive/motors instead.
What is available, and which is better, and why.
Basic Click to an advanced (4850) drive via SCL commands ?
Or, an HO PLC output to a basic drive ?
Is the component price the primary difference ?
Speed is not super critical.
Thanks
You can use one of our newer Click Plus plc's with a DC output module and have up to 3 axis of step and direction to with one of our stepper drives & motors:
Great video that shows how to set up the Click for Pulse Train Output mode:

Thanks !
I like that option and looked into it further.
Question: If I have 1 PTO axis, setup and run the homing routine then make position moves.
Then, set that axis to do a Velocity move for an extended time, (where, IIRC position info gets lost), can I then re-home and resume accurate positioning as necessary ?
Thanks again.
