Clearing CPU error history in code

It's possible to view CPU error events remotely. You can also send a critical or non-critical error flag so this can be viewed in a SCADA system.

However, I can't find out a way of clearing the error history in code, so that once a user has seen an error they can clear it without having to connect to the PLC with Productivity Suite. Is this possible?

    >2) There are no system tags related to clearing error history.

Refresh Critical Error Log and Refresh Non-Critical Error Log seem work for their respective lists in 3.12.1.21.

1.) It's possible to view CPU error events remotely?

Answer: Yes. You can use the web server or mobile function to view those tags remotely. See help topic P261 and/or P248.

2.) There are no system tags related to clearing error history. Below is list of system tags pertaining to critical and non-critical error logs:

@kewakl (Customer) You are correct. Just tested and each tag clears it's respective log.

No worries, I just discovered this feature today as I was looking at the image you posted -- as it has those tags listed.

I was attempting to do some unorthodox coding as described here.

Maybe we could have a blurb in the respective tag's description that indicates this 'clearing' feature.

+1 agreed. I will request to the Productivity team to get this updated to make it clearer.
