Click Plus and Kepserver

Has anyone setup kepserver with a click plus i am having issues getting the modbus address to pull any data.

-Which Modbus register are you trying to access?

-Have you tried adding or subtracting 1 from the address (example: if requesting 40001 try 40000 or 40002)?

-Are there any Event Log Messages in Kep that may help diagnose the issue?

-Can you ping the Click and get a response?

-Can you provide screenshots of the Kep & Click configuration?

Setupsetup 3setup 2QC ViewPLC SetuppingTrying to access CTD1 right now which shows modbus 449153, but i will have more once i figure this out. I have tried subtracting 1 will no success. The can ping the click with success.

Ok so I downloaded the demo version of KepserverEX. I can get it to work if I have the addressing offset by one.

I switched back the addressing with all the below settings and it works as expected:

I used .0 at the end. Believe that is what the manual recommended. The last digit has something to do with Ethernet Bridge. I am not using one of those.

image502 is the port number <default> for Modbus. That is under Ethernet selection.

is there something in the click that i dont have enabled

Nothing needs to be done on the Click side other than assigning an IP address. Try using the attached .opf file of my configuration. Then just modify the Click IP address.

Do you have a managed ethernet switch that can do port mirroring? You can then get a Wireshark capture of the traffic to possibly see what is causing the issue.

  • Kmac (Customer)

get the same thing with yours but i am using a unmanaged switch if that matters.

Can you strip down your Kep project and attach your .opf file and I can try it here on my end?
