PLC E-stop example?
Hello all, I'm digging around for a basic E-stop PLC programming example and can't seem to find a clear 'best practices' sort of basic set up.
Does any one have any suggestions? Or is it too case dependent?
Hi @bengineer08 (Customer)
An emergency stop circuit is outside of the PLC. That is why you are finding it difficult to find examples.
The Estop input can be monitored and used in your program to determine the status of the machine.

The above post will show you a start-stop circuit in the PLC. An Estop input in this circuit would just be another contact next to the stop.
This video is a good reference.

The exception to this is if you are using a safety PLC (Controller).

I hope this helps you out.
