Servo Drive L7CA does not save setting in parameter cn-07

When I enter cn-07 to change input contact force ON/OFF as stated in the catalog and doing all steps. The state does not change but from CM software it could be changed. When i looked at parameter cn-16 i found it is in Lock state but when i try to change it to unlock it does not to be saved. So what is the problem? How can i solve it?

    Hello @wadi (Customer),

I was only able to reproduce the problem you are seeing when I supply the drive with 110vac. Please be sure you are supplying the drive with 220vac. The DI forcing through the keypad works as described in section 10.1.3.8 of the user manual.

--Ensure no alarms are present on the drive.

--Ensure UVW motor wires are correctly connected to the drive.

When connected and online with Drive CM have the "Digital Input" window in view on the right side of the application window. When toggling between ON and OFF by pressing the [DOWN] arrow on the keypad, you should see the associated DI also change. If you are not seeing this, are you able to toggle the servo ON/OFF by clicking on the "Edge" button to the left of the DI function from High -> Low -> High? If this does not seem to help then as always you should save your settings and reset to factory defaults and try the DI force method from a freshly reset drive to ensure there is not some other unkown parameter causing conflicts with this. If this does not work then I would suggest calling into our technical support team for assistance. Please reference this post if you decide to do so and as always we hope you will post your solution once discovered so other may benefit from your experience.

In regards to Cn-16 (Parameter Lock, user manual section: 10.1.3.17) I will need to do more digging. When entering [PLoCk], selecting [unLok] or [LoCk] does not appear to restrict parameter changes. In neither unlock nor lock state, it did not inhibit the forcing of DI in CN-07. I will follow up with details on this once I can confirm the intended behavior.

      One more tip:

Using the keypad to manipulate, configure, and control the drive is a cumbersome process with the LS Servo. We suggest using Drive CM software for all interactions with configuration, testing and comissioning of the drive. Forcing the DI is easily done in the DI window of Drive CM by clicking the Edge button. Just besure to revert the Edge state back to the original Active High or Active Low state before disconnecting.

Any solution for this problem ?

If you cannot still get the DI force to work then I would call tech support. I am unable to duplicate your issue for the forcing. For the cn-16 (Plock). That will only lock the parameters from being able to be edited from the keypad. It will not restrict someone from changing values in teh software or over comms.
