I have 2 click units that I'm trying to get to communicate but the master is only cycling receiving/error and the slave is cycling sending/error. I just want the slave to output a single register and the master request that My settings are attached. What am I doing wrong? Sorry, I'm rather new at this.

Take a look at the below programming example. You will need to modify for your application but should get you going:
The example program is for serial communication but easily can be converted to Ethernet by selecting the correct Click CPU in system configuration and then changing the port number in the instructions.

You cannot use both the Modbus TCP and Ethernet IP protocols.
Use Modbus TCP (Ethernet Only)
The default settings in the Click will be set for a Modbus TCP Server (Slave). No programming should be used for this unit.
The Modbus TCP Client (Master) will control all of the communication with the slave.
Use only one of the "receive" instructions and test to see if you have communication.
Once you can communicate with one instruction, you can then use multiple Send and Recieve instructions. However, you will need to account for the timing.
