Resetting clock on Count Down Timer mid count
I’m using a CTT-AN-A120
the timer is controlling a snowmelt system where the owner will push the button and the counter counts down from 48 hours. What id like is to have the unit reset the time but continue counting. Right now the only thing I can do is stop it and start it again to reset the time. Basically every time they hit the button it will run for 48 hours from the push
Hi @BrianA (Customer)
It sounds like you need to add a latching relay to the circuit. When the button is hit the first time it activates the timer to start timing and activates the latching relay. This relay now connects the button to the reset input of the timer. When the timer expires the latching relay is reset.
Just a thought.

That’s basically what’s happening now. It’s internally latching. I just want it so that another push of the start button restarts the timer never turns off the outputs.
I don't have one of these units in front of me but it looks like Signal Off Delay should do as you are describing. "The leading edge of a “start” signal applied during a previously initiated timing period will reset the
timing period." Looking at the time chart, pressing the Start button resets the time. Release of the Start begins timing. Outputs appear to stay high until timer completes.
