Having trouble wiring a 4-20ma 2-wire pressure transmitter to a C2-08D2-6C IO click plus module

I have these components:

I am trying to wire to an analog input on the IO card but I never get the pressure transmitter to power up. Where should I connect the wires from the + and - on the sensor to on the IO board? I've tried the ACOM and ADI1 but I never get it to power on.

    The sensor needs an external supply voltage for its + and -, and it should be the same power supply that you are using to power the analog card commons.

     

    So the transmitter +/- will be from the external power supply, the power supply's -12/24v also goes to the analog module's first ACOM point, and the transmitter signal output will go to the analog modules ADI1

    This is a 2-wire loop powered instrument. How do I connect it to both +/- and ADI1?

      My mistake, do as LRJ said. The + is taking power from the external supply, and the DPT - is going to the analog module. The module common is tied to the external supply's negative.

    That worked great - thank you both! Out of curiosity, is there a limit to how many 4-20ma transmitters I can connect to a single 24v power supply? This is just a lab environment I am trying to setup to learn.
