Etherner Communication between a PLC and Balluff Power IO
Hi I dont know if anybudy had the same question before but i would like to conect a PLC with this Ethernet Module power IO:
https://assets.balluff.com/WebBinary1/MAN_BNI_EIP_XXX_105_R015_EN_B17_DOK_920124_04_000.pdf
Why this modules? its because in our company bought 5 Power IO for other project and we used only 3 with a Rockwell PLC, now I would like to use that's others ones with a economic PLC.
I was checking this guys:
P2-550 Productivity2000 CPU
BRX M Series Micro PLC Units (No I/O)
Link2:
Click PLC Units
Link3:
could Someone recommended me the best one for my ethernet communication
Thanks so much
David
Hi @DavidByTech (Customer)
The Productivity Series is currently the only one that can be a scanner.
Here is a link showing the P1000 connecting to the Click PLC

Here is a link showing the P1000 connecting to the BRX PLC

i don't have any experience with the Balluff IO link blocks but i have used the IFM efector IO link blocks with a productivity 1000 and it works well over Ethernet IP implicit messaging. it wasn't all that difficult to set up but you need to shift all the arrays by one in the Allen Bradley examples as productivity arrays start at 1 and Allen Bradley arrays start at 0
Edit
i am almost sure the click can only be an Ethernet IP adapter server so it will not work
