Not quite the same thing as the setup is a bit different.
I would set up Ethernet IP implicit communications between the productivity and a logix PLC where the productivity is the IO adapter and the AB is the scanner. i have done this several times between a control logix and a productivity but normally it is just to pass data
Thanks form your input. We will look at that if/when we attempt to implement this type of system. We are considering using this scheme as a sort of Cell control setup, with the P-5XX controllers communicating their data back to a Micro/Control Logix.
in a round about way yes but you will need a program in the P1000 to map EIP data to IO
Would that be similar to Producer/consumer tags? I'm not sure I know what EIP data is.
