CLICK Programming Software Release version 3.10

https://www.automationdirect.com/support/software-downloads?itemcode=CLICK

Improvements

  1. Password requirement for Ethernet CPUs can now be disabled.
  2. Improved Security by disabling external communications of 3rd party HMIs using the proprietary programming port on UDP 25425. These devices should be reconfigured to use ModbusTCP 502.
  3. Added a new method for C0-1x and C2-x CPUs to Reset to Factory Default using the RUN-STOP switch. Power up in STOP mode, then RUN-STOP three times before 30 seconds expires.
  4. Added new System Data Registers for the MAC addresses of Port1 (SD188-SD193) and WLAN (SD194-SD199).

Fixed Bugs

Software

  1. MQTT Server Name field was improperly limiting the URL to 4 levels.
  2. Fixed issue with Export CLICK Loader File which caused "Failed! ErrID = 4".
  3. Fixed issue with CLICK Project Loader which could cause the PLC to lose its firmware.
  4. The Instruction Menu in Ribbon mode was inserting a Receive instruction for the Send icon.

Firmware

  1. COPY instruction of DF and DD in Copy Binary mode was operating as Copy Value mode.
  2. Improved reliability of project transfers which sometimes caused, "Error (-7): Write error" and "GUI-030 Transfer Failed".

Found the reason of the problem:

Improved Security by disabling external communications of 3rd party HMIs using the proprietary programming port on UDP 25425. These devices should be reconfgured to use ModbusTCP 502.

The device type of the click PLC must be changed to the new v3 model in the Weintek program.

    Regards,

    Hans

Good idea @Garry (Customer) I updated the original post with the link.

Hello, I installed the version 3.10 and updated the firmware. Then I loaded the click program with the new software, but my Weintek HMI cMT2078X cannot make a connection anymore.

Think I must go back to the previous version.

    Regards,

    Hans

I just updated a C0-11DRE-D CLICK PLC to v3.10. Now when I perform a run time edit; 1) the system acts like I am performing a stop-write function; 2) all of my retentive data is erased (DS); 3) I have to manually refresh the status monitor.

@SalinaControls18 (Customer) Unfortunately this is a bug you have found.

What we found is it only effects C0-1x CPU's and only clears DS1 - DS88. This only happens if the Disable Password Requirement is checked. 😕 Always the new feature. We have reported it to the developers.

This almost seems that the software is not handling correctly the abstract Virtual Store -vs- the actual user path locations -- or not accurately handling what path (abstract or actual) it is presenting to the user.

I/we have had virtualstore issues with CMore and CLICK. Both packages indicate that they have the same developers Koyo / WinSystem

        1

Also, PAC has saved some graphing info to an unlikely location

        2

I guess I will stop there before I assume too much.
