How to get full Direct Software to work?

We purchased the full version of directsoft dl06 software to load a program from one plc to another identical setup. We are able to take the old program, save it but can not write to plc. It will prompt us to enter the product key for the full version, when we enter it it confirms our download/purchase then returns us to the main programming screen. WHen we go to load the program we get the same prompts for the full version, and will just continue that cycle. We have restarted both the app and the computer loading the program. Thanks for any help or ideas

    @aaronp (Customer)​ Have you also tried right clicking on the Do-more icon and select "run as administrator".

    Have you tried uninstalling the demo version then reinstall DirectSoft 6.0 and at that time enter the keycode and see if that fixes your issue?

      I did this then learned that it needed to be ran as administrator then have the code entered. all set now

    Whenever we updated the install to be more secure, it made our mechanism for updating the currently running DS100 version to be a full version "unsecure", so we had to eliminate that feature.

     

    So, yes, you have to uninstall then re-install with the full key. Uninstalling does NOT remove the project files, so it's okay to do that.

      The issue was that i had not ran as administrator, i had downloaded with administrator permission. After working with AutomationDirect help they had suggested that as well. Thank you
