Scotty (Customer) asked a question.

BRX axis with serial or ethernet positioning?

Would it be possible to use a serial or ethernet positioning system - like this for example https://www.pepperl-fuchs.com/global/en/classid_2614.htm?view=productdetails&prodid=88750 - instead of a traditional encoder for axis movement?

    Hi Scotty,

Typically you would not get the speed out of serial communication for feedback. Ethernet IP would have the speed but the BRX cannot be a scanner yet. I believe that this is in the works. So the P&F device would not be able to communicate to the BRX without a scanner.

The BRX can be remote IO for a scanner like on the Productivity controller.
