strantor2 (Customer) asked a question.
Can I make PDS values in a UDS be retentive (Productivity)?
(Productivity 2000) Say I make a UDS which contains an Alarm (ALM) data type, and I want those alarm setpoint values of HIHI, HI, LO, and LOLO to be retentive by default, can I do that? I mean can I do it as part of the UDS? I know that I can go back and mark them as retentive retroactively, but I might make an array of hundreds of my UDS and that would be very tedious.
Hi strantor2,
Yes, you can have them retentive.
When you define your UDS you will check that the tag will be retentive.

You can't edit PDS tag types or retentive modes in the UDS definition at this time, but after you make a UDS array, you can go into the tag database and change the types or retentive status of your first element, and all subsequent elements will share this mode, so you won't have to edit hundreds of instances.
