Thank you in advance.
Hi andrewswf,

The above post may help you out. There is a spreadsheet on the Modbus addresses for the DL06.
https://cdn.automationdirect.com/static/manuals/d006userm/ch4.pdf
Chapter 4 of the DL06 manual will discuss the Modbus Slave addresses.

Tech support had me download the sheet. But I'm still not having any luck. I can ping the PLC with success. But for someone the modbus address doesn't seem to work. I was hoping to find someone with Ignition specific experience as i feel maybe its on that end I need to change something

The above link may help you out.

The setup of Modbus in Ignition is pretty straightforward. The only gotchas are port number and word order. And as with any other Modbus setup, potential offset by one on register addresses.
This is my first attempt with modbus, so nothing is really straightforward yet lol.
I have no Ignition experience nor DL modbus address experience, but....
What mode are you using? Pg4-12 and pg4-13 of the DL manual that Garry linked will most likely help you in determining the Modbus addresses of the DL06 address space.
There is a link inside the Ignition doc that Garry linked.
That link is https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC80/Modbus+Address+Mapping
This doc deals with the perceived oddities of the DL's octal address space. (it references DL240, but ht eDL06 is octal as well.)

Thank you I will look into this
I can connect, but im not really sure what im looking at. whether i put in 102 for the coil and 3139 for the modbus address the screen looks the same.
So, i can connect, read and write via modbus tcp master program. But it does timeout on me after a few seconds.
