GS3-23PO burnt up a resistor, anyone know this resistor value?
I got in two untested GS3's. First one worked fine. Second one would turn on, program fine, but not run the motor. I changed the internal fuse then as soon as I flipped the breaker on the resistor in the pic below burnt up. Any ideas why? Wiring was all right/same as the previous vfd that worked fine. I'd love to know the resistor value so I can get another and try some other things to make it work. I dont see anything visually wrong with the unit besides now the burnt resistor.
I'd guess that you have a shorted IGBT (or possibly bridge rectifier) Considering that fat wire that seems to be going to the B1 terminal I wonder if it might be the braking transistor? Anyway, the resistor is likely the least of your problems. I imagine that is a fusible resistor. Can you measure the resistance of the one in the good drive? while measuring a component in circuit can be very inaccurate because of possible parallel components it still might give you some idea.

Agreed, the resistor failure is most likely a symptom, not a cause.
