StrideLinx Industrial VPN Router wired + 4G Global LTE SE-SL3011-4GG
Perhaps I should have looked at this product a lot closer but expecting that it would be similar to other older products I used, I bought it without too much thought as the specs seemed right. Should have read the whole darn manual first.
Has anyone directly accessed the router from an internal management page on the device available either WAN or LAN side. I'm not too impressed with having to manage it from a cloud based web application or the fact that I already pay for bandwidth through my carrier but also must pay for overages and options to StrideLinx.
As this is the first time I've used this product I'm looking for some tricks and tips from some experienced users of their VPN router products.
I'm running the VPN client in this environment:
OS, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on VMWare 15.1.0
Browser Slimjet 30.0.2.0
StrideLinx VPN 64 bit client 1.2.2 installed. Windows Initially complained about unsigned drivers but after uninstalling, reinstalling and again running repair I could finally get it connected. Appears to be an OPEN VPN driver so maybe there a way into this without StrideLinx management?
Oops, spoke too soon as I'm back with the "Error:OpenVPN: exiting due to a fatal error" when clicking on the connect button on the web management page.
Get the password off the side of the router, go to the LAN IP address of the router, login on the left side. There is some configuration there.
The error you report seems likely to be a problem with the TAP adapter. Since you appear to be connecting on a virtual machine, there are additional steps required to ensure the VM and TAP adapter have access to the internet. Connect to your machine from inside a Virtual Machine – AutomationDirect (stridelinx.com)
Regarding the configuration interface, the router’s local web interface can be accessed by connecting to one of the four LAN ports on the router and typing the LAN IP address in your browser. The router’s default LAN side IP address is 192.168.140.1
