fakenews (Customer) asked a question.

Why won't the connected lights turn on but the Output LEDs turn on?

I have a C0-00DD1-D PLC with a Click PLC power supply. I am using the same power supply to power the PLC and the Load devices. The program is very simple, press pushbutton to turn on the connected Lights.

Wiring diagram is attached. Is the problem that the PLC output is not able to turn on the connected load because it is too much current draw? Do I need an external power supply for the Loads? Should I switch to the Relay output PLC instead (C0-00DR-D)?

The lights I am using are ECX20xx series.

Please help! I built this for my 3 year old but couldn't get it to work, very frustrating.

Your link is to a 120VAC indicator, but your supply is 24VDC.

Do you have 24vdc+ wired to V+?

    • fakenews (Customer)

I do not!! is that the issue? Sorry i am new at this

Just realized I need to wire to the V+ , possible have an external power supply. Will try this.

    Thanks for your help

It's always better for the power supply to the PLC be separate from the power supply to I/O.

I could be wrong, but it appears as if you have the outputs wired as Sourcing, and that version is Sinking on the outputs only. Try changing it up so your - ( 0V ) is the common and the +24 V is the switched. That should work.
