Productivity 2000 [EMAIL] -send email receiving error not in help file Failed TLS handshake (-188)
I get the error
Failed TLS handshake (-188)
Tried googling, it seems like a ssl related error
I am using my gmail account followed AD tutorial as well as the one by Garry, i am not understanding my mistake. i also did not see another post here about this.
Have you turned on "allow less secure apps" in your Google settings?
Yes, i followed Garry's tutorial and turned that on but it did not do anything.
+1 ADC Community 02,
I would also check the port settings and ensure that you select the default certificate.

Yes, I followed this tutorial as well as the Automation direct YouTube video as well, port 587 is the only option for google.
If you want to post your program. (Without the password) We can test it with another account.

Garry
I am communicating with automation direct support, I will let everyone know the outcome.
Well, I feel dumb and glad I called support. The PLC clock was way off, and was causing the error. SET YOUR CLOCK!
Thanks for the update.
I appreciate it.
Garry
what firmware version are you on. I don't know if the p2 ever had this issue but some of the older p1 firmware had an issue that the clock would change time on its own.
Firmware version 1.2.9.17
Not sure if that's new or old...
