PetSven (Customer) asked a question.
What voltage USB to RS232 cable do I use to communicate with a STP-DRV-4850?
I have STP-DRV-4850 that I want to use with the SureMotion Pro program. I was wondering what the peak-to-peak voltage of the RS-232 line should be? I have several different voltage cables already, but I am not sure which one to use.
Here are the voltage levels of RS232. (Recommended Standard)
RS-232 logic and voltage levels
Data circuits
Control circuits
Voltage 0 (space) Asserted +3 to +15
V1 (mark) Deasserted −15 to −3 V
Not all USB to RS232 adapter cables are the same. I have went through several before I found one that actually worked on some of my equipment.
I have had success with UGreen.
