Safety controller with network safety IO

I am looking for a safety controller that has remote safety IO capabilities in an affordable price range.

Currently on lines with AB control logix we upgrade the processor to a L72S and L7SP then use 1734-AENT and point safety IO modules. I am looking for more of a stand alone safety controller similar to the MOSAIC but with remote safety IO capabilities to cut down on installation time and cost.

Has anyone here used and can recommend something along these lines

    I used ABB.

It offers several safety controllers with remote I/O capability, including the AC500-S PLC. This controller can have up to 256 I/O points and can communicate with other devices using Ethernet, PROFIBUS or CANopen.

While using it, I found for myself:

    ➕️

    1. Scalability: The ABB Safety Controller is highly scalable and can be configured to meet the needs of small and large applications. The controller can be expanded with up to 256 I/O points, making it a flexible solution for a wide range of automation applications.
    2. High speed processing: The ABB safety controller is equipped with a fast processing unit which provides high speed processing of safety related signals. This ensures fast response in emergency situations and reduces the risk of accidents.
    3. Comprehensive communication options: The ABB Safety Controller offers a wide range of communication options including Ethernet, PROFIBUS and CANopen. This simplifies the integration of the controller with other devices and systems.
    4. User-friendly programming: The ABB safety controller comes with a user-friendly programming environment that simplifies setup and programming. This reduces the time and effort required to set up the system and makes it easy to modify the system as needed.

    ➖️

    1. Complexity: The ABB Safety Controller is an advanced and complex system that requires specialized knowledge and experience to set up and operate. This can make things more difficult for users who are less familiar with security automation systems.
    2. Limited Compatibility: The ABB Safety Controller may not be compatible with all types of safety devices, which may limit its flexibility in certain applications. It is important to make sure that the safety devices you plan to use are compatible with the ABB safety controller before choosing one for your application.
