Andrew (Customer) asked a question.
I have a pump that is controlled by a click plc, it has several safety interlocks that are NC and open when a fault occurs, shutting the pump down. I have a new safety interlock I would like to add however my programing knowledge is limited and I have run out of ideas.. The new interlock is a loss of prime pressure switch. I will be on the discharge side of the pump, open at 0 psi when the pump is off, it will close at 5 psi (discharge side pressures range from 5-15 psi) once the pump turns on and pressure is built in the water line. I need a way to start the pump and after 1 minute if the pump hasn't made 5 psi, the pump will shut off and trigger a fault, requiring a cycle of the HOA switch to clear it. If the pump does make 5 or more psi, the pump will continue to receive the run signal, if for any reason the pump looses prime while running after the minute prove time is up and normal operation is in progress, it would need to trigger another prove time and subsequent shutdown if the pump doesn't reprime in a minute.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Andrew
