skyfox (Customer) asked a question.
Do any of AutomationDirects PLC's provde a second ETHERNET port that supports Ethernet/IP protocol as a built in port or as an EXPANSION Module?
If not, let's get one rolling.
I would love to have one for the BRX.
We just got the OK to build ALL FUTURE systems for one of our bread and butter company's from OHIO (ROCKWELLS/AllenBradley's) very own neighbor, that we have been providing system for since 2004, after they finally came to realize how much they have been violated over the years by their very own neighbor to the TUNE OF BILLIONS. Yes. Billions. This cost saving directive went to their suppliers in Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and US. In other words, "YOU MUST USE ALLEN BRADLEY PLC's and PANELVIEW Touchscreens directive that was mandated, went out the door.
But, only AB has the capability of adding the 2nd Ethernet/IP port that I know of that this customer requires..
Mixed messages?
So What do you say BRX? A 2nd Ethernet/IP Port as an add-on option module within the next six months?
SAY YES PLEASE!
The guys at HOST can confirm for sure but see the forum traffic concerning the soon to be released new POM:

Do you need it to be an EtherNet/IP Explicit Client or an Explicit Server (or both in the same system), available on 2 different networks (i.e. 2 different Ethernet ports/subnets)?
