External Fault

I hooked up a GS3 to do some tests. I only hooked up 3 phase power and ground. none of the 3.xx parameters are set to look for external faults. Will this error show if i do not hook the motor leads up? I was under the impression that I could test with the motor leads off. Thanks for any assistance.

I'm only guessing but if you were trying to run in sensorless vector mode or sensorless mode with feedback. I guessing you would get a fault. Try it VHz mode.
