I have an application where I want to move a printhead across multiple products (no more than 6). The printer will have an encoder signal to know the speed, but I still need to send a 'print ' signal to the printer at the location of each product. This video shows an application somewhat similar to what I am doing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq4q1QKZOJ8 On my application, the product is flush with the background (and sides are flush with each other), so I can't trigger off the product. I can offset the print location a specific distance (encoder counts) from the 'print ' signal within the printer, but I still need a separate signal for each product. Is there any way to trigger a digital output (or outputs) at multiple predefined locations DURING a move? I thought I might be able to use "Auto Indexing Mode ", but I'd rather not make individual moves across each product, unless I can somehow blend them into a continuous move. If I set the dwell times in P2-52 through P2-59 to zero, it says "it will not index to this position ". What does that mean? Will it just continue past that position to the next? If so, will the "Index Position 'n ' Attained " outputs still turn on as it passes that location? Thanks, -Eric
