I'm putting together a panel currently and I have a box of Panduit 4 " Light Grey ( F4X3LG6 ) wire duct that I'm using for larger cables, but I have no smaller Panduit for my control circuits. I was Looking at the Iboco T1E-2230G-1 wire duct and from what I can see, I'm hoping they will "look right " next to the Panduit. The height of the Iboco is 3.15 " and the Panduit is 3.12, " which should be hardly noticeable, or easily correctable, but I'm concerned about color match. Does anybody have a little of each of "grey " Iboco and "light grey " Panduit laying around that you could side-by-side and confirm they are the same color? I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you

I went ahead and ordered the Iboco stuff. I'll be able to answer my own question by July 5th. I would still appreciate an answer before then, because if it's not a match then I can get some Iboco 4 " wire duct to replace the Panduit I already have, and still save money over purchasing matching 2 " panduit.

I used to use Panduit and have been using mostly Iboco lately. Haven't put the two side by side, but my impression is that the Iboco is a little warmer gray, with a hint of beige vs. a more neutral gray for Panduit.

Results are in. Not exactly the same. I haven't decided if this is acceptable but I'm pretty sure I will be ordering the Iboco 4 " to replace the panduit.

After about 30 seconds more contemplation I decided I'm not sending out a panel with two different shades of grey wire duct. 4 " Iboco on order. I'll continue with my build using the panduit and when the Iboco gets here I might just use the lighter grey Iboco covers on the installed panduit if it isnt noticeable. If it is, I will replace the entire panduit. Hopefully they have the same hole patterns.

I wonder why people think engineers are OCD?

In my opinion, OCD is a job requirement. At least it is if you want to deliver a quality product. I benefit from being self employed and having no bean counter above me, forcing me to use wire ducts a single shade of grey apart. I also suffer from not having a bean counter above me, forcing me to direct all my hours on the clock to billable pursuits, like actually building a panel instead of chatting on forums about building panels.

Those are different enough, I agree with your decision.

Haha, yeah, on panels. But if I make a mistake and wear a shirt/pant combination not to my wife's liking...

And just to be clear, I'm the guy that will change a variable name 50 places in code because I slightly changed its function. I can mock it 'cause I am it.
