Does anyone know if there is a simulation program for running DL06 ladder logic programs off line? Thanks in advance Mark

No. This was one of the key features of doing Do-more. Host Engineering designed it from the ground up as a re-targetable control engine . It now runs on 4 platforms: 205, Terminator, PC Simulator, and now BRX (these are all Do-more! Driven PLCs). We had a working PLC running as a Windows application before we had one in hardware. One way I use it is as a "process simulator ", and then use a real PLC for my "control ". Regardless, Do-more's Simulator is a great tool for running actual PLC ladder logic without any hardware.
I know that switching hardware is NOT trivial. But the new BRX PLC line of PLCs by AD can fit from 05 space through 06 and through 205 with expansion (think thousands of I/O, but the MPU models are varied enough to price it favorably with 06 systems). There is even a Migration Tool to help you with migrating your 06 project to Do-more. The Do-more Designer programming software is free, and you get the PC based Simulator for free.
If this is a NEW system, you might try kicking the tires with Do-more. No need to buy any hardware or any software. Just download it and see what it can do. The Migration Tool does a great job with contacts/coils, rung comments, and nicknames, but leaves bread crumbs for all of the other DirectLOGIC instructions. Try getting it to work on the Do-more Simulator. If it doesn't seem like a good fit, you can stop at any point without wasting too much time. But if it IS a good fit, I think you will find much of Do-more Designer software is quite familiar (compared to DirectSOFT). Much better in many ways also.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I am already using the DL06 and I wanted a way to test program changes before going onto the machine or having to load into a test PLC I have for R&D.

not sure if this helps (I'm 99.9% sure it wont work on analog) but depending what your using it for, Dump the program into an empty DL06 and use the override tool. That's what i do sometimes. Not sure if it will help, but figured I would thought I would say it.
